Why "guys" isn't gender neutral in our community
Tuesday, February 2, 2020The Drupal community aims to be a welcoming, safe, respectful and inclusive space for all participants. The language we use in our day-to-day interactions with each other is an important factor which contributes to creating these conditions.
Learn how to hold your own Speaker Diversity Workshop on Saturday, November 16
Thursday, September 9, 2019To help event organizers increase the number of speakers at their events who are from marginalized and underrepresented groups, we are very excited to share that on Saturday, November 16, from 1-4 p.m. ET, we’ll be offering a Train the Trainers online workshop on how to run the Drupal Speaker Diversity Workshop at your local events. This will allow meetups and DrupalCamps to offer the workshop all around the world!
Land Acknowledgments
Wednesday, July 7, 2019Here’s the gist: in America (North and South), as well as Australia and other colonized nations, if you’re not an indigenous person, you live on stolen land. We start our meetings by, among other things, asking where people are from, and asking them to acknowledge the indigenous history of the land they live on.

Happy Pride!
Thursday, June 6, 2019June is Pride Month around the world. We have collected some resources for the Drupal community around what Pride is, why it is still necessary and what Pride and 2SLGBTQQIA+ (Two-spirited, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and beyond--see below for more on acronyms!) rights look like globally.
This post is not intended to cover all subjects, but to serve as a starting point and resource for folks who want to educate themselves about queer individuals, culture and rights.

Sharing a survey for our upcoming Speaker Initiative
Thursday, March 3, 2019Do you identify as under-represented or marginalized? Have you thought: I wish more people like me were giving talks at Drupal events? Or: Why is there no one like me on this panel?
Have you thought about speaking at a meetup or conference but haven’t been able to think of a topic? Feel like you don’t think you know anything worth speaking about? Feel like you’re not an expert in anything so who would listen to you anyway? Or the opposite problem… Do you have too many ideas and don’t know which one to pick? We're planning a training *just for you*.
